Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 plus 2018 Rumor Round Up
This is 2018 already and the phone manufacturers are already releasing their 2018 version of their existing smart phone lineup. This is a recent trend which is gaining momentum , the trend of updating your mid range lineup according to the year, sort of indication of the next gen stuff, with something updated if not everything. Many smartphone manufacturers are setting up for this trend , the Xiaomi have given out the Redmi 5 series in the January itself, of course it’s not released in India , but will soon be released. Nokia has also unleashed the Nokia 6 , 2018 edition , it’s price hovering around 13k to 16k. So how can we not expect the south Korean tech giant Samsung to do the same for it’s mid range as well as budget devices.
Samsung’s budget devices always get a refreshed look, like every six months or so . Samsung’s J series have all got the weird updates like the J7, J6, J7 max ,J5 ,J5 max and whatnot. Samsung has also got the On series with On5, On7, On Nxt ,On Max and whatnot. Samsung mid range lineup consist of the Galaxy C series and the Galaxy A series. For the C series it’s been like only one year or so while for A series it’s been here for long , and we have seen a lot of changes in design aesthetic.
The Galaxy A8 and A8 plus 2018 series.
Samsung launched the 2018 A8 and A8+ on 2nd January, 2k18 in Vietnam we were not even done wishing out new year and Samsung already launched their device , seems like Samsung is playing for a good start with the new year. Samsung has also released the price and the availability of the two smartphones in Vietnam. Samsung also mentioned that the two smartphones will be available for sale from 6th of January 2018. Samsung’s A series was also featured on Amazon India website, the device may soon be available for grab in the Amazon’s exclusive sale. The Amazon’s exclusive deal has featured only the A8+ model , so we can conclude that only the A8+ model will be sold in the country.
So what’s new in the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 plus 2018 edition.
Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 features a 5.6 inch full HD+ (2220 x 1080) Super AMOLED 18.5:9 aspect ratio while the A8+ (2018) features 6 inch full HD+ (2220 x 1080) super AMOLED display with the same aspect ratio , which is slightly curved like the Samsung’s flagship S8 and S8+.
Under the hood it is powered by a 2.2 GHz octacore processor on both the phones. Now coming to camera segment it is the very first smartphone from Samsung which features two front cameras, which is the best for the selfie lovers. There is a 16 megapixel fixed focus f/1.9 aperture and an 8 megapixel f/1.9 aperture. There is also a live focus feature which enhances the bokeh effect even after the photos have been clicked.
The color variants for the device are black, gold, Blue, orchid grey. Both the devices come with 32/64 GB onboard storage options, which can be expanded up to 256 GB with micro SD card, which may lead you to compromise on the second sim card. Moreover the Galaxy A8 packs a 3000 mAh battery and the A8+ packs in a 3500 mAh battery, surely the A8+ will last longer, but the screen size may be determinant factor.
Both the phones come with an IP68 certification which will protect it from water, dust etc. It is also preloaded with Samsung PAY integration, further the smartphones support the Samsung Gear VR headset. The Android version of both the devices are Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Samsung A8 comes with 4 GB of Ram , while the Samsung A8+ comes with 4/6 GB Ram variant.

In conclusion, Samsung has been pushing the limits to get a better phone for their users but, in the same price range there are a while lot of devices which will compete for that price bracket like the one plus 5 and the one plus 5T, Nokia 8 devices which likes in the same range, it will be interesting to see how much Samsung can sell it’s devices in 2018. Samsung Galaxy X Is Finally Here!
The Samsung Edge display was cool, but Something much cooler and exciting could be coming very soon. Samsung has been working on foldable displays for a number of years, and the Korean giant might finally, be ready to showcase its first completely flexible Smartphone, in twenty eighteen.
Foldable phones are about to hit the market – it’s only a matter of time – and it’s looking increasingly like Samsung could be the first company, to commercially launch one, possibly as soon as this year.
We may even know what it’s called, with the mysterious Samsung Galaxy X being the subject of several, bendable leaks, foldable patents, and flexible rumors.
But whether the galaxy X marks the spot or not, we’re clearly entering a foldable future.
So, what is a foldable phone?
A foldable phone is exactly as it sounds, one that either folds inward like a clamshell phone or outward and reveals a tablet like a device when stretched out. This is possible with the use of a bendable rather than flexible O-LED panel.
Samsung, Lenovo, and LG have each showed off, bendable displays and devices at various industry events, and have registered many patents for the technology.
Previously called Project Valley, Samsung’s technology has become known as the Samsung Galaxy X.
Bloomberg says, the company plans to announce a foldable phone under its Note brand, in 2018, According to The Korean Herald, the foldable device was revealed to industry leaders, at a behind-closed-doors at January’s 2018 tradeshow, which also included a launch schedule for the handset. This Could be the Galaxy Note X, a fierce competitor to the newly announced iPhone X.
The paper claims, 2 models were shown, one inward folding and the other, outward folding phone. The latter is described as a more advanced, next-generation technology, although it’s the inward folding Galaxy X, that is expected to be first adopted by Samsung.
On November 9, 2017. Sam-mobile released, a whole host of images, that appeared to show the Galaxy X. Patents filed by Samsung has been the only real clues as to the Galaxy X’s eventual design, that we have so far. A previous patent from Samsung Display at the end of September 2016.
Light Polymers launched a new polarizer which is circular in shape designed for OLED displays, which is based on lyotropic liquid crystal technology. The new polarizer is the world’s thinnest polarizer, at only 45 µm.
These lyotropic liquid crystals, are water-based and can be coated using industry standard, coating equipment, at nearly room temperatures. This enables the company to produce these displays, at a much lower-cost compared to the other alternatives.
The Galaxy X is rumored to have a 7point3-inch 4K OLED display, DJ Koh stated, “Samsung has the foldable smartphone in its roadmap for the Note series, and is currently working to solve a series of hurdles before unveiling it, next year.”
Samsung will make the Galaxy X a high-end device, that could run on a powerful processor, like the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip, but Samsung hasn’t confirmed that.
We don’t know much about the camera quality yet, it is also not sure that whether this foldable phone would incorporate, the fingerprint, iris- and face scanning features, found on current Samsung flagships.
Although more recent news, comes directly from Samsung’s mobile head and is a little better, as he claimed, the company was aiming for a 2018 launch, later this year, assuming, it could overcome certain unspecified problems.
According to a report from ET News, Samsung plans to begin manufacturing its new folding OLED panels, in September, and ready to fire-up the Galaxy X production line in November.
Flexible OLED technology is still in its infancy, and as a result, the all-new Galaxy handset is likely to be more expensive, than both Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and, upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9.
Since the Galaxy Note 8 is priced at around $950, the Galaxy X could easily be more expensive than the iPhone X’s eye-watering $1200 price tag.
So, What do you think of Samsung’s foldable phone design? Would you buy it or not? Let us know down in the comments.

Top 3 Mobile Legends Tanks 2018
Being a tank in any MOBA game comes with great responsibility. Not only are you required to be skilled and fearless but be able to team fight, initiate and take damage for the team. Tanking can seem to be boring but believe me, it’s not. It feels godly to see enemy heroes pass by and not dare attack you alone. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang provides a wide range of tanks to choose from and all are way too different and fun to play.
As of January 2018, there are 11 tanks in total namely: Akai, Hilda, Hylos, Tigreal, Balmond, Johnson, Grock, Gatotkaca, Lolita, Minataur, and Franco.
In this list, I will be ranking them focusing on their usability in top-tier Ranked Matches. They are all fun to play nonetheless.
All the attributes are of base level
If you have a good understanding of his barrier ability, Grock can do wonders in a team-fight. His gigantic size which he can increase more is enough to keep the enemy at bay. Grock doesn’t necessarily requires assistance and can do well alone too. His passive near turrets increases movement speed as well as HP useful for tower diving. His ultimate, Wild charge combined with other abilities and heroes with perfect placement of barrier is enough to wipe out the whole enemy team in team-fight.
Base HP: 2819
Movement Speed: 260
Physical ATK: 135
He is a powerful tank specializing in crowd control and engage. His Ultimate deals massive damage stunning every enemy hero caught in it and also looks cool AF! First ability slowing the enemy down followed by ability Unbreakable concentrating enemy basic attacks to himself followed by Avatar Of Guardian (Ultimate) with a few good teammates is enough for enemy wipe-out. The only problem with this hero is that he is tough to master otherwise he does have MUSCLE OF IRON…BONES OF STEEL!!!
Base HP: 2709
Movement Speed: 260
Physical ATK: 120
Hylos without a doubt is the most tankiest tank in the game making him the best tank. If accompanied by any of Assassin, Fighter or Marksman, sweeping lanes with enemy heroes is no big deal. He is the best at tower diving using his Glorious Pathway (Ultimate) which adds on HP as he charges forward destroying both, enemies as well as turret. Now think how devastating he would be without enemy turret! Again you need good teammates which is easy to find in top tiers of ranked matches.
With perfect build and skills, he is almost immortal able to withstand maximum damage compared to all other MLBB heroes.
Base HP: 3309
Movement Speed: 260
Physical ATK: 105
